The property features barbecue facilities and outdoor furniture. Lovely place, had everything we needed for our stay. Modern, clean, well-lit, kitchen had all the essentials. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and going for a run along the river.

The guest house, housed in a building dating from 19th century, is 35 km from the Chillington Hall. The room and view was incredible, breakfast was excellent, but the star of the show was Julie, who owns Heritage View. She is a great host, very friendly, helpful and looking to provide the best possible service to her guests. We will definitely return and stay here again.

The Castle is situated in a quiet area, at the top of Bishops Castle, with spectacular views of the town. It offers 3 bars with log fires, a restaurant serving local produce, and beamed bedrooms.

The Castle Hotel’s restaurant serves a modern food menu and a full English breakfast is available every morning. The outdoor seating area, where guests can eat and drink in warmer months, has views of the Shropshire Hills. Lovely character Old Hotel and Inn with pleasant staff. Food and service excellent in the evening despite being busy. The Courtyard room was very spacious and well appointed including a private outside decked terrace. Good choice of breakfast and an excellent position at the top of the town with ample free parking...top marks all round.

With a traditional restaurant and ale bar, this family-run hotel has a patio garden and scenic views. The Corbet Arms sits on the banks of the River Severn, just 5 minutes’ drive from Shrewsbury.

The bright and airy bedrooms each have a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. Rooms also feature an iPod dock, air conditioning and a private modern bathroom, and some have river views. Room was quiet with a view of the river. We only stayed one night but we had a drink in the bar and breakfast the following morning which was tasty and very reasonably priced with a vegetarian option. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Guests can visit the National Trust house Attingham Park, directly opposite the hotel. You can relax outdoors, and enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Free off-road private parking is also available. EVERYTHING is amazing in this total gem. My family had 3 beautiful rooms and we discussed how The Hotel Inspector wouldn’t find a single flaw. We think this is the exemplar for modern accommodation in a traditional and beautifully appointed setting.
