The room and view was incredible, breakfast was excellent, but the star of the show was Julie, who owns Heritage View. She is a great host, very friendly, helpful and looking to provide the best possible service to her guests. We will definitely return and stay here again.

The Castle is situated in a quiet area, at the top of Bishops Castle, with spectacular views of the town. It offers 3 bars with log fires, a restaurant serving local produce, and beamed bedrooms. Lovely character Old Hotel and Inn with pleasant staff. Food and service excellent in the evening despite being busy. The Courtyard room was very spacious and well appointed including a private outside decked terrace. Good choice of breakfast and an excellent position at the top of the town with ample free parking...top marks all round.

We only stayed one night but we had a drink in the bar and breakfast the following morning which was tasty and very reasonably priced with a vegetarian option. Staff were attentive and friendly.

The Mytton and Mermaid - Brunning and Price is a splendid Grade II-listed building on the bank of the River Severn, England’s longest river. EVERYTHING is amazing in this total gem. My family had 3 beautiful rooms and we discussed how The Hotel Inspector wouldn’t find a single flaw. We think this is the exemplar for modern accommodation in a traditional and beautifully appointed setting.
