Very friendly and hospitable hostess, great location (quiet at nights even though very close to the port and its bars), excellent daily cleaning service, fast wifi and nice amenities. Overall highly recommended when in Hydra.

Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. It is located 250 metres from the port and 500 metres from Ydra’s main beach. Everything is very nice and comfortable

Featuring mountain and garden views, this guest house also comes with free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange airport transfers. The hotel was just a 7-minute walk from the main harbor where we arrived from Athens. We got there way too early before check-in, but the staff greeted us warmly and the host went out of their way to find us an available room - something that doesn't happen often. The room was spacious and clean with a walk-in shower and lovely aesthetic touches. We had everything we needed, the area was peaceful with several good restaurants nearby. It was a really great place to stay, and I have only positive memories of our time there.

Mistral Hotel offers the ideal sanctuary for rest and relaxation in between sightseeing and hiking around Hydra. The main attractions of Hydra are within easy walking distance of this refined guest house. On arrival we were welcomed by Nicholas who was extremely friendly and helpful. A great start to our stay. We were on the first floor and the room was a good size, the bed comfy, good wardrobe space, good air con, nice to have windows to open and let the sun in (even through the massive heat wave). The bathroom itself was small but did the job for our 5 night stay. The shower was a bit of a let down - very tight squeeze to get in and shut the doors (and we are average build). If we moved without thinking about this small space, we accidentally nudged the tap off or to the hot or cold side. Had to be super careful in that respect. The free breakfast was out of this world amazing, tasty, different every day, home cooked/made, abundant (got us through to the afternoon!). We looked forward to it every morning and ate 90 to 100% of it. Jenni was an amazing hostess who presented us with this breakfast daily and she tolerated my “5 to 6 cup coffee” husband with delightful dry humour! She always had a funny comment to make. Loved her! One of the house maids was super friendly and greeted us every time we saw her - sorry I didn’t get her name! Unlucky for us it was a heat wave the whole 5 days there so going back and forth from the city centre was quite the trek for this unfit oldish woman, but I achieved it 4 or 5 times a day, albeit puffed on arrival. On a cooler day it would be very pleasant. A thousand thank you’s Jenni, Nicholas and friendly housemaid - you made our stay in Hydra magical. Angelica’s romantic rooms retain a delightful note of old-fashioned charm and luxury. They are all air conditioned, and include satellite TV, safe and marbled bathroom with a complete set of Korres cosmetics. Very comfortable room. Great friendly and very helpful reception and service. Great breakfast. I also liked that it was a little bit away from the busy port so it was so quiet. We had a lovely balcony with sun chairs and a little table and chairs outside.
