Only 120 metres from Hydra Port, Alkionides Hydra is situated in a stone-paved courtyard with flowers. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Some units come with a kitchenette. The location is perfect and calm while accessing the port in 2 minutes. The room was comfortable, absolutely nothing was missing. And it was so clean ! And our host was just so friendly and easy and available !

Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. We accidentally booked from saturday to sunday, and arrived on friday. The staff were very kind and helped us get a room from friday on. We had a great weekend at Mirandas! Thank you:)

On arrival we were welcomed by Nicholas who was extremely friendly and helpful. A great start to our stay. We were on the first floor and the room was a good size, the bed comfy, good wardrobe space, good air con, nice to have windows to open and let the sun in (even through the massive heat wave). The bathroom itself was small but did the job for our 5 night stay. The shower was a bit of a let down - very tight squeeze to get in and shut the doors (and we are average build). If we moved without thinking about this small space, we accidentally nudged the tap off or to the hot or cold side. Had to be super careful in that respect. The free breakfast was out of this world amazing, tasty, different every day, home cooked/made, abundant (got us through to the afternoon!). We looked forward to it every morning and ate 90 to 100% of it. Jenni was an amazing hostess who presented us with this breakfast daily and she tolerated my “5 to 6 cup coffee” husband with delightful dry humour! She always had a funny comment to make. Loved her! One of the house maids was super friendly and greeted us every time we saw her - sorry I didn’t get her name! Unlucky for us it was a heat wave the whole 5 days there so going back and forth from the city centre was quite the trek for this unfit oldish woman, but I achieved it 4 or 5 times a day, albeit puffed on arrival. On a cooler day it would be very pleasant. A thousand thank you’s Jenni, Nicholas and friendly housemaid - you made our stay in Hydra magical. Douskos Guesthouse is situated in the car-free island of Hydra, 100 metres from George Kountouriotis Manor and 30 metres from Hydra Port. Nikolas was very helpful and considerate of our needs.

The family-run Delfini Hotel is set right on the picturesque port in Hydra, offering magnificent views of the sea and scenic town. An on-site bar is also available. Fantastic location. Very friendly and helpful owner. Lovely balcony overlooking the harbour and a day room with free coffee, biscuits and beverages. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
