We had a very pleasant stay at this bed and breakfast just outside Galway. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were especially comfortable so we slept very well. The location near the lake was a real plus, making it easy to reach both Connemara National Park and Galway city without much driving. The host was friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and the breakfast each morning was tasty and satisfying. Overall, a wonderful and comfortable place to stay if you're exploring the area.

On our trip to Ireland we stayed in five airbnbs. Clifden Bay Lodge was, by far, the best. Location, view, comfort were very good. Small things, like good size, clearly labeled containers of shampoo and soap that did not require flashlight to read helped. Breakfast was memorable with home baked pastries. The owner made the place special.
