With a beautiful setting on the River Suir, the luxurious Waterford Castle Hotel and Golf Resort is on a private island completely detached from the mainland.

The castle boasts elegant rooms and suites with stunning views. These individually designed rooms offer also offer free WiFi, goose-down quilts. Contemporary lodges are also available and include three and four-bedroom semi detached properties with a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area and adjoining living room. What a beautiful place inside and out! The staff were exceptional and our dinner at the bar was memorable and delicious. I thought this property would not feel so much like a castle, but I was wrong. And even though it rained throughout our stay, we walked the grounds and enjoyed the manicured property, a hint of lavender along the pathway, and a moment of peace watching the dolphins swim in the river (Yes. Dolphins. I thought they were teasing us, but it was true). I wish we had booked a longer stay.

In the comfortable lounge guests have access to internet facilities. Everyone is so friendly everyone wants to help you and the people around here are pretty sociable. The view from the hotel is gorgeous and the food is pretty good. I really recommend this hotel because it is one of my favourites so far.

Breakfast room was exceptional. The food selectional was exceptional. The staff was exceptional!

Rooms at Dooley’s Hotel are brightly furnished and all feature a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Each room provides a TV, free tea and coffee, and ironing facilities. Very clean and very good position. The staff was nice and professional. Buffet breakfast with cold and hot choices from the menu was very good. We really enjoyed it! Highly recommended!
