Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property. This characterful property was full of quirks and personality. We really loved having access to common spaces (where we played some boardgames) and the owners kindly let some of our party stay late while the rest of us went horseback riding. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy for breakfast, and my family members said the full Irish was amazing.

Brilliant place to stay - lovely rooms, super friendly and helpful hosts and amazing breakfast! They also gave us great suggestions for nearby restaurants and local sights/ things to do. I’d recommend staying a few days, as Portstewart and the Northern Coast are beautiful.
