Lovely, home-y vibes - the rooms were very spacious and clean, you could see that a lot of care was put into making sure everything was taken care of for the guests. You can also order home cooked food, you just need to give advance notice. The garden blooms from July so we missed the fresh veggies, but it was wonderful seeing the greens start to sprout. There is a bit of noise from the road, but otherwise peaceful.

Thangkop House is a typical traditional Ladakhi guesthouse with basic but clean rooms. A great plus was the hot water supply which was very reliable. There's also a small green garden area where you can sit and relax. What I liked most was the nice atmosphere at breakfast when travellers from all over the world sat together and shared their stories. The owner of the guesthouse, Dolma, is an extremely kind and helpful person, and she can tell you much about Ladakhi culture and society if you are interested.

The location was perfect, right between Changspa road and the main market but not too close. The staff (Fatima) tended to all of our needs and are very kind. There is cold (filtered) and hot water available at all times, a communal fridge and laundry service is available at a very reasonable fee. It was always kept so clean and presentable, a perfect stay!

The place is well kept. All the basic needs are taken care . The ambience is beautiful and artistic. Very creatively constructed place. The host Padma is a lovely lady. The food was very homely and made with warmth and love. A very nice and peaceful place to spend some days. A must stay place if planning to spend a night in nubra valley.

I must say, for the first time going to Nubra Valley, my girlfriend found this resort near to Panamik Hotsprings and I was sold. Sorrounded by Tri Mountain range this hotel was the definition of relaxation. The staff were beyond helpful and kind with the accommodations. Sundowner at Sumur Sand Dunes was an amazing experience .We liked everything at this resort and will surely return back.
