Ormurinn Cottages is located in Egilsstadir. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. As we were driving by the airport, we saw these strange looking houses on the other side of the lake and were hoping we would be staying in one of those. It was the case. We managed to get in super easily thanks to the code provided. We were lucky to have a nice and sunny day which added points to the amazing view. The kitchen is well equiped and the bathroom is correct.

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Beautiful, well stocked, everything was there, everything worked! The washer and dryer were a plus!!

Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. This guesthouse was my best stay during the trip. Amazing location, view, amenities and layout. It was a beautiful room. It was better than the fancier/pricier hotels that I stayed in.

Cozy, comfortable, clean and modern cottage with lots of space. Nicely equipped kitchen. Great hot tub on the deck overlooking the sea. Spectacular drive over the mountain pass and through the fjord to reach the cottage. Helpful and friendly host.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. If you want to self-reflect, chill out and self-discover in the middle of nowhere - this is the place. Very serene atmosphere, beautiful place.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. This little house cannot be called luxury, but it is incredibly cozy. We had the best three days of our 2-weeks journey around Iceland in this place. It is especially well equipped with every little detail to make you feel at home and relaxed. The kitchen has everything one might think of. Small but very cozy bedroom, where you feel like in a cradle and don't want to leave. Thank you very much to the owner who has thought of everything with love and care! Very much recommended!!!

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The best stay of our whole trip. Friendly staff. Great room. Great facilities. Wonderful dining. A spa.
