Ormurinn Cottages is located in Egilsstadir. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. Really nice cottage on the lake off the main road. The location is very quiet. We had an issue with the shower that I messaged the host and someone was knocking at the door to fix it within 15 minutes in the middle of a snow storm at 8:30pm so that was really amazing. There was also oil and salt & pepper we used for cooking which most places don’t provide. The man that came to fix our shower also came in the mornings to shovel the snow off the porch and make a pathway to our car. Highly recommend this place !

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Everything! EVERYTHING! The location has been so mindfully designed, people are amazing, the Menü in the restaurant is small, but delicious, the breakfast is truely hand-selected and home-made, the puffins, the hot tubs and saunas … and all of this for a very descent price! If I ever get back to Iceland (I hope I will), I‘ll make sure to plan at least another night here. thanks to the whole the team, we appreciate your effort.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. Amazing house which in real life is even bigger than at photos. Hosts are very hospitable and attentive. Views are truly wonderful because of its location.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. Amazing location and great dinner and breakfast! The hot pools were so nice!

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. We loved the cabin and its surroundings. It's secluded enough to feel isolated, yet a five-minute drive from the grocery store, gas station, etc. It was clean and all the appliances were in perfect working order. We cooked dinner and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Very cosy hotel with nice and comfortable room. Great ambience in the hotel lobby that comes with a nice snowy view in winter was exceptionally nice to hang out. Our room faces the town. Staff were helpful and friendly.
