From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. This stat was everything we could’ve hoped for—warm, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches that made it truly special. The host were incredibly welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed while giving us a space to relax and unwind. The home itself was cozy, beautifully decorated, and filled with little details that showed how much care went into creating a comfortable atmosphere . The White House Inn was just perfect for our group trip and I will definitely return. If you’re looking for a place it feels like home away from home this is it.

Country Dream - Langholt 2 is located in Laugardælir, 7 km from Selfoss. It offers free WiFi, as well as a garden and terrace. Guests can also enjoy an on-site hot tub and sauna. One of the best places we’ve stayed in, ever! The place was a dream! I wish we had more than one night, and will definitely come back during northern lights season :) the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the cat Mrs Fluffy too :) clean and big shared bathroom!

Featuring a bar and shared lounge, Hótel Laugarvatn is 15 minutes’ drive from Thingvellir National Park. WiFi and parking are free. We loved it here, the person in the reception was super nice, they gave us an upgrade on the room and gave us warm drinks (coffee, hot chocolate or similar) in the house. It reflected the warmth of Iceland. We recommend this place a lot!

Location is super nice, we got upgraded to a better room in the hotel across the street upon arrival (free of charge)! Nice hot tubs and restaurant, all staff are friendly :)
