Located on a family owned sheep farm, Saudafell Guesthouse offers accommodation in Sauðafell. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site. The house itself is beautiful, very cozy and authentic, the common space is spacious. The breakfast was great. We would recommend staying here.

We had an amazing stay at this place! The houses are beautifully designed with high quality materials and are perfectly heated, making them super cozy and comfortable. The surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning! The host was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home and the breakfast was simply delicious. The road to get there isn’t the easiest, but it’s absolutely worth it once you arrive. Plus, the sky is dark enough to see the northern lights and we were lucky enough to witness them - an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and high-quality stay.

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. Excellent cabin. Albeit small, it is a very cozy cabin with all amenities needed , including all cooking utensils and cutlery. The location is amazing. It’s remote near a lake surrounded by mountains.

Exquisitely clean, well equipped, laundry, wonderful breakfast, plentiful WC ratio per guest, two kitchenettes, comfy beds, and excellent views!! My only regret is that I could not stay longer!

Multiple hot pots, pool, and green house. Very unique experience staying here. Staff is beyond excellent! This is a hidden gem tucked away in the mountains. So lovely :)

Dating back to 1828, this family-run farm in West Iceland offers bright rooms with country-style décor. Facilities include a guest kitchen, TV lounge and terrace with outdoor hot tub. Very peaceful and a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. I only stayed one night and was alone, but I would certainly visit again with my family. Everything was great. Very quiet; I had a beautiful view from the room window and was able to see faint Northern Lights. The kitchen and common areas were exactly as pictured and very handy; the bathroom was spotless. It was a clear night and great for stargazing in the hot tub on the deck at night. Very close to Hraunfossar. I would love to come back here. Hosts were very responsive.
