Located on a family owned sheep farm, Saudafell Guesthouse offers accommodation in Sauðafell. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site. We had a truly exceptional time at Saudafell Guesthouse! We were the only guests at the house so we don't know how it is when it is full of guests. But our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful - having breakfast with them every morning was no only a pleasure, we learned a lot about life on their farm and in Iceland in general. We highly recommend staying here!

What an absolute hidden gem of a place. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel right at home. Guðrún Björg is the sort of host that others simply dream of being. Every single detail has been thought out, she is a warm wealth of information about the area, and someone who truly cares about making your stay and experience as magical as it could be. The meals we enjoyed were also exceptional - lamb sourced from the property, and cod caught by her sons and husband, and freshly made waffles in the morning - what more could you ask for? This place is worth every penny and the view from our cottage was just tops. Go - stay here - relax - enjoy!

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. It was avery nice clean Cottage. It is equiped with all you need during the stay. It has a dishwasher and a laundrymachinr which was not available in other cottages we stayed during our Iceland trip.

The staff was very helpful and even provided a packed sandwich for breakfast since we were leaving early. Lovely views and clean.

Everything about this guesthouse is amazing! The entire place has a great view on the water, it is very calm and peaceful and the place is beautifully decorated! The shared bathroom was great and clean, the kitchen very well equipped and the eating area has a great view! Hubert is an extraordinary person and he made sure we had everything we needed during our stay! He definitely made our time there even better! We had the most amazing time there and would absolutely recommend staying there!

Three-bedroom house nicely hosted six of us. It is up the hill with only some sheep around you - privacy guaranteed. And upon arrival, the hot tub was ready to be used.
