It has a great story, it offers a lot of information not only for the hotel but also the area and interesting facts about Iceland. As we arrived, the woman at the front desk informed us that she has already prepared our breakfast and it is in the fridge in our room. And what a breakfast! It was very diverse and delicious. The room offered a lot of ammenities and a great view. The bathroom was supposed to be shared, but as we were only two couples at the time with two bathrooms on the floor, it felt as if it is just for us. And the bathroom itself was renovated, modern, very warm, clean and had everything you need. The best part was that the hotel was near a beach with a small dock and with almost no lights around we had the most amazing aurora view! I highly recommend this place while travelling around Iceland!

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The house is small but comfortable and nicely located. You can find peace and rest there.

Located on a family owned sheep farm, Saudafell Guesthouse offers accommodation in Sauðafell. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site. The building looks like it’s recently renovated. Bathroom is super clean and well-stocked with towels. Triple room is spacious. Free breakfast. Can wash clothes with small fee (1000 ISK).

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. Very well equipped, well located & easy to find. Very cosy.

The property is exceptionally attractive, comfortable and artistic. We truly enjoyed every moment at Nyp! The setting is peaceful and beautiful. The house itself is very spacious and has everything you need. The meals are the best we have had in our visit to Iceland. We had two dinners and two breakfasts. The food was fresh, organic, and delicious. I wish we had stayed longer. The hosts are friendly, kind and helpful. They were very good at advising us about where to visit in the area.

Offering natural hot springs, free Wi-Fi and an in-house restaurant, this farmhouse hotel is in Iceland’s wild Westfjords. Súdavík village is within a 1-hour drive. A very nice valley, great for walks and hiking, and finding berries . We have been several times here and also enjoyed the dinners and breakfast, all ver good.

The cottage was great and had an amazing view! Everything was comfortable and the location was great. We got to visit the creamery and store. We played with the dogs and cows. Overall amazing

Dating back to 1828, this family-run farm in West Iceland offers bright rooms with country-style décor. Facilities include a guest kitchen, TV lounge and terrace with outdoor hot tub. Amazing place to stay. We weren´t sure about accomodation with shared bathroom but finally it was completetly OK. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 showers for 5 rooms I guess, so you do not have to be afraid that you will wait a long time for using bathroom. Owner was super helpful, nice and keys were prepared behind the door once we arrived with number of our room and our name on it. Breakfast was in home style well-prepared with everything you need for the morning. On each table was a coffe, you could prepare tea. Outside is amazing view to the valley and due to kind of loneliness this farm, this is one of the best place in Iceland, to be and see the Northern Lights. Hot tub is ready for use all day and night (no added expenses). Kitchen is very well equiped. We didn´t need that but there is also washing machine. Location is very strategic for the Silver Circle and Húsafell hikes. Definitely when we will come back to Iceland we will come back to here. Thanks!
