There are only 3 cabins set up in this location next to a small lake in front, the place is very peaceful and serene. Our cabin has everything we needed to cook a delicious meal after our long day of exploring; the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The home was tastefully decorated and the owner was very friendly . We loved everything about our stay here and would definitely return!

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. The location was so beautiful. The house itself was great, had everything we needed, warm and cosy. We would love to have another day here just to enjoy the peacefulness of the location

The staff was very helpful and even provided a packed sandwich for breakfast since we were leaving early. Lovely views and clean.

The hosts were exceptionally helpful, well beyond what I expected. My wife and I arrived fairly late (8:30 pm), and we found that the bathroom was too difficult to access, given her mobility issues. I had reserved a room with shared bath, but had not considered that the toilet would require several stairs. The host sent us to a nearby hotel that had an easier toilet access, without any extra charge. We were very grateful for this. The facility looked very nice with a superb scenic view.
