The hotel is very well located. We stayed one night and walked the center twice, being so close to all the attraction. Also, slippers and bathrobe their size were waiting for them in the room, and tea cups in animal shape. That was impressive. Very good breakfast variety despite the small display.

The en suite rooms come with parquet floors, personalised furnishings, and precious paintings. Perfect location, spotlessly clean, host so friendly. Breakfast was like a home served breakfast. Would love to come back for a few nights more.

Situated in the historical centre of Lugo, the Hotel Ristorante Ala d'Oro was once the home of the noble Conti Rossi family, one of the most important aristocratic families in the town.

Hotel Ristorante Ala d'Oro has 52 quiet rooms, equipped with all modern comforts and 2 meeting rooms. In the corridors it is possible to visit the exhibitions of famous photographers. The personnel was very friendly and always there for the customer. The Hotel is very nice and cozy. The breakfast was good, nothing special, but all you need to have a nice meal. The variety of meat and cheese was great. The only warm breakfast option was scrambled eggs. You can order (included in breakfast) freshly brewed coffee (cappuccino, cafe latte, espresso etc.). If you are traveling with a car, you can book the hotel parking in advance (10 euro/ day), but there is also a possibility to park the car outside in the city (70 cents per hour). The huge plus is that the rooms have air conditioning.

The staff were friendly and helpful and even allowed us to leave our car on the grounds for a few hours in the morning while we went out sightseeing before leaving Ravenna for our next destination.
