Our rooms are designed with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami mat flooring throughout. For those who prefer a futon on tatami or a bed, we also offer Japanese-Western style rooms. The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. Very nice Ryokan. Room was super big that had sitting/tea area. We ordered the dinner separately and it was a very nice experience too.

Overall, highly recommended.

Lovely staff which took very good care of us, amazing onsen, superb ryokan breakfast

The property also provides free pick-up service from JR Takayama Station. Free shuttle bus service is available when check-in, check-out, after dinner. Our stay at Soy was amazing! Tai and his parents made us immediately feel at home. They are so nice and warm. The house is realy impressive. Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. staff was extremely pleasant. the place is amazingly decorated. They made special and great breakfast for my spouse who's gluten free.

Beautiful and cozy Ryokan from a lovely and kind family. Was a unique and special experience to stay here. The breakfast was delicious, nice location by the river, and the onsen was relaxing. Would highly recommend!

LOVED THIS ACCOMODATION it felt like switching off and going back in time The staff are amazing and so hard working and the location is stunning. I found the traditional futon a bit uncomfortable to sleep on but it was nice to try out for a night the fact that the doors to the private onsen open up so you can enjoy the breeze and scenery is wonderful as is their shuttle service

A 3-minute drive from JR Gero Train Station, Izumi-so offers Japanese-style rooms, an indoor and an open-air natural hot spring bath and Japanese cuisine. The hotel houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Free parking is available, and a free pick-up can be requested from the station. My husband and I had an incredible experience at Izumi-So. Facilities were clean, owners were welcoming and incredibly friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend !
