Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! We love the Miyajima guest house, the staff was super friendly, the location was great, the common areas were beautiful! We also really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. Overall the only negative was that we only stayed one night, would love to come back and stay at least two nights in the future. ❤️

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. A must to visit! Service was perfect. They pay attention to every detail and this makes you feel as you are in the best place you could ask for in Miyajima. The room was clean, the food was really great (not only the taste, but also how it was presented). Totally recommended!!!

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. The Ryokan is very close to the Itsukushima Shrine and the Momijidani Ropeway. So its very convenient to visit the Shrine at 6.30, return for breakfast and then head to the ropeway which begins service by 9.00. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, especially the vegetarian meal. It is a short walk away from the ferry terminal, but the Ryokan offers a shuttle service for pick-up and drop.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom.
I arranged a special surprise with the hotel to propose to my girlfriend, initially disguised as a birthday gift with a room upgrade and room service dinner. This review is thus not representative for the room linked to this booking.
However, I want to specifically praise the hotel staff, with a specific shout-out to Katagiri. They went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience and I cannot thank them enough!
The view from the seaside rooms is amazing and the beds are very comfy, the traditional dinner is on point and the staff is just wonderful.

Miyajima
ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. It's by far the best hotel experience we had in Japan, after being in 4-5 other cities. The lounge facing ocean with sunset view is amazing, and the rooftop bath in the night overlooking the bay and the Tori is intimate and relaxing, after the crowd is gone. The staff is extremely caring and offered personalized advice to visit and dine out. We were late for check-out because of some delay with the ropeway, but the staff really cared about our wellbeing. Cherry on top, beds in Japan are usually very hard but this hotel gave me the best sleep!

Miyajima
Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. The location was very quiet surrounded by nature and deer but only a few minutes away from the centre. Staff was exceptional friendly and helpful and the service during breakfast and dinner was excellent. We got a beautiful japanese room which was very cozy and comfortable. The food was absolutely outstanding. It was exceptionally good, of the highest quality, fantastically presented and really impressed us. Unfortunately we were only here for two nights but next time we will stay longer. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this accommodation.

Good reasons to stay in Sakuraya: - Location (on the island Miyajima!). - Kindness of the staff. - Japanese style rooms (warning! Sleeping on a Japanese futon might be uncomfortable if you are picky with mattresses). - Onsen in the basement to get a relaxing bath at the end of the day. - Breakfast for 500 yens. The breakfast is not very generous, but it is a good deal for that price.
Loved the private onsen with the view of the shrine. The hotel was very grand and our room with the view was so spacious and pretty. The restaurant staff were lovely. and the food delicious although mostly seafood which i didnt mind.. The shuttle to the town was handy also.We has tea and red bean snack in our room (provided) which was nice. Relaxing stay in a grand hotel.
We were greeted and shown around by a lovely lady, and a deer welcomed us by the front door. The place was very cozy and clean. After climbing Mt. Misen, it was wonderful to relax in the outdoor bath.
Japanese breakfast was great, memorable. Having the yakatas and free bar was a bonus. Roof top terrace was lovely, and with the blankets and private booths the whole area was very pleasant to relax in. Onsen was lovely.
Wonderfully friendly staff who were waiting at the door to personally greet us after being picked up by the courtesy bus. After a busy day we loved relaxing in the beautiful onsen and being treated to a delicious dinner including local specialities. Lovely Jaoanese style room with ocean and deer views. We would definitely come back one day.
beautiful view very relaxing lovely staff and a shuttle bus took our luggage before checking in so we could sightsee
Great hotel. We were free upgraded to room with tatami area. It was probably the best hotel so far in our Japan trip. The breakfast (Japanese and Western) were pretty great as well. Overall Miyajima is a great place to stay for a few days to relax, and hike. This hotel makes it especially convenient.
lovely setting and great having the onsen to relax.
Hotel is so wonderfully peaceful that you can relax and enjoy the island. It is located few steps away from the shrine and all main attractions. View from the window is spectacular- we could enjoy the forests and mountains. We were also upgraded so we had a tea room to enjoy in addition to our bedroom. All facilities were comfortable and so was the onsen.
