The hotel has very nice cultural activities such as writing in Japanese and pictures with traditional outfits and many others. Very nice traditional Japanese baths, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Choose rooms with garden views. Highly recommending.

The annex is a part of the New Wakasa Hotel. All of it is so beautifully done. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room with an attached onsen. It was perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful, nice and polite. They walked us to our room and explained all the amenities. We had a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast included and the staff was so kind to explain every food to us. The staff were the stars of the show!

Very clean, genuinely friendly staffs and very good food. Every day it is a different ryokan meals.very delicious too.

Parking is available at extra charge. WiFi is available in all guest rooms. This was one of the most beautiful places we’ve seen. Amazing traditional ryokan, great bath. Very friendly staff. The food was tasty! The overall experience is very special. The whole territory of the monastery is beautiful - both in the morning and at night. We took a little hike to the top of the hill, it was easy, and there’re sticks available.

Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. Excellent accomodation - service was superb and our private bath was exceptional. It was a highlight of our vacation.

The location is really good, near to a bus stop that takes you to Nara park! Our accommodation was exceptional, the traditional house is cosy, tidy, clean and very comfortable. Mr. Shunju and Mike are very welcoming and nice people that provide you with information, recommendations and comforts that make the whole trip an unforgettable experience! I would definitely go back again at Naramachi Guesthouse for my next staying at Nara!

Wonderful staff who were very helpful and the language barrier was never an issue. Always members of staff to help with any needs whether it be recommendations, directions, and travel accomodations.
