The staff were extremely helpful; and helped us with anything that was asked of them even if it was not related to the hotel. They would not take any tips even though we insisted that what they had done for us went far beyond the call of duty. Definitely a must visit.

Dormy Inn Kurashiki is a 6-minute walk from Kurashiki Train Station and a 40-minute drive from Okayama Airport. It features a restaurant, free wired internet and free wifi and a public bath with hot spring water. So far our favorite stay in this trip! We are backpackers and it felt quite luxurious to us, even for one night. We took advantage of everything the hotel had to offer: juice, spa, ramen, massage chairs! The duvet was super comfy and we loved all of the products (in room and spa). Staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was spotless. Would certainly stay at another Dormy Inn, especially this one!

The hotel was accessible from the station with a short street car ride (can be walked too, but we'd rather not with our luggage). We enjoyed the view from our room on the garden and the castle, very beautiful at night. The café was handy for breakfast. We did not use it for other meals. The garden and the castle were within walking distance as well as local eateries.

Very convenient hotel, great value for money. There’s an onsen and Japanese style buffet breakfast included in booking price. Lovely staff, mostly Japanese guests staying here. Will be back.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. Good location for the ferry to Naoshima.
Great atmosphere. Great hotel. Everything smells so nice. And the bath is very relaxing.
Very cozy and tidy. The staff were absolutely lovely. You get a free welcome drink which gave a nice chance to speak to the staff.
If you love a lovely atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films, Hayashima is your city, and this traditional guesthouse feels like a fairy tale. It's an absolutely amazing place. You can relax in the main room, enjoying a drink or a meal while taking in the view of a traditional Japanese garden filled with birds and dragonflies. The garden and quiet environment are wonderful. The town is small and cozy, making it a perfect base, just a few stops away from Okayama. The guesthouse owner is incredibly kind and helpful.
Convenient location, lovely staff, onsen was relaxing.
Huge room, great value for money. Lovely jacuzzi style bath and shower room.
Friendly staff. Relaxing feel. Really great value and lovely town
This was the perfect stay for anyone who wanted to visit Naoshima and Teshima island (and the others) really close to the port, staff where friendly and lovely, gorgeous dog, couldn't be happier with my stay
