The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Spacious rooms, very tastefully decorated in a minimalistic style. The private onsen was blissful. Food was excellent (although a bit pricey). The hotel is 5 minutes from the bus station, with connections to the main cities and to the Kamikoche park. Overall, highly recommended.

Featuring private open-air hot spring bath in all rooms, Isaribi is located in Hagashiizu, 2.7 km from Atagawa Hot Springs. They were truly accommodating and informative. Went above and beyond to allow us to make it for dinner even though weather made driving there difficult.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. We had a fantastic stay at SOY. Tai-san and his family are very welcoming hosts, and extremely focused on making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are impeccably curated, and the breakfasts are delicious. Tai-san is also always ready to drop/pick you up from the city if required, and provides great recommendations on things to do and where to eat - even makes reservations for you! Absolutely recommended stay in Takayama 😃 (the cute cat Tara-san is the added bonus 😁)
