The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

We had a really pleasant stay! The owners were very nice and kind, they picked us up from the station and on the next day after check out they helped us to get to Omura mountain.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. I love the house; it is cozy and beautifully designed. The breakfast options, whether Western or Japanese, were superb. The highlight of my stay was the wonderful hospitality. Tai and his parents were exceptional hosts. Tai’s restaurant recommendations were excellent, and he even made reservations for us. Although Soy is located outside of town, it’s just one bus ride away. If they're available, the hosts are more than happy to drive us to and from town.
