Exceptional Guesthouse. I must thank the Manager (did not get his name) for refunding me for a night's stay as there was a change in plans. He was very, very kind. I loved the in-house onsen.

Our visit to Koyasan and stay at Jokiin Temple was one of the most unforgettable highlights of our trip to Japan. The experience was truly special, and we are deeply grateful to our hosts for their warm hospitality. Being welcomed into their temple and witnessing the magical morning ceremony was an honor—an experience we will cherish forever!

The host is very nice and helpful. The unit is clean and tidy. Complete facilities for travellers. Beds are comfortable and the environment is very quiet. For this cost, I am very satisfied. I will definitely book it again if I come to this place in future.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara features outdoor and indoor hot spring baths, only a 2-minute walk from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes. I love the design of the room which is very cozy and modern. The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.

Located in the sacred Mount Koya area, 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- is a historic temple and an accommodation for visitors. This place exceeded my expectations. I did not expect the room to be so nice, large, and have a wonderful table and seat space with a large window and small garden view. The place is just beautiful, and I was very appreciative that I could join in the morning ceremony. Truly a wonderful experience.

The place is clean and cozy, satisfies every need a hiker may have. A natural hot spring just at the door, providing an incredibly unique experience of soaking in the wonder of nature while steps away from your base. The host is very helpful and offered some extra help regarding my luggage shuttle which I was struggling to sort out. He speaks fluent English.

Offering tranquil outdoor hot-spring baths with nature views, a Nakai-san personal attendant, karaoke, massages and sumptuous Kaiseki dinners, Yunominesou is a 10-minute walk from Tsuboyu hot spring,... Spectacular service, very clean, excellent Japanese meals with full explanations for foreign guests, very quiet traditional rooms with modern public areas, traditional Onsen (our room had its own toilet but bathing is public in separate male and female baths (this might seem like a big deal to some but we embraced it as rare opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan. Stayed here 2 nights to complete the Hongu loop of the Kumano Kodo in one day (traveling to and from the property is possible using reliable and inexpensive public transportation; it will take a day to get there from Tokyo and another day to return). The staff speak excellent English and I can’t say enough about their professionalism and care for their guest’s comfort.
