The facilities are all wonderful... it is such a magical place! The interior courtyard garden is peaceful and lovely. The outdoor onsen is a gem... and not too hot, so one can actually enjoy it for a nice long time. And the food is just delicious, inventive, beautiful, and totally satisfying. I stayed one night, then spent a night away at Mt. Haguro, then returned for a second night's stay at Tachibanaya and felt as though I was coming home!

Only a 5-minute walk from JR Yamagata Station’s West exit, Richmond Hotel Yamagata Ekimae features comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi, drinks vending machines and massage treatments. The place is near to yamagata station and lots of convinece store there. Also the lounge at 2nd floor provide free coffee, tea and ice cream for the whole day.That was superb.😍😍

Winter closure of the open-air baths "Shirakaba-no-yu" (Late December - 28 February) Due to the accumulation of snow, the open-air bath will be closed during the winter. Hotel and room is clean and new and spacious. Friendly staff. Free shuttle van service to and fro. ski slope morning and afternoon. Buffet breakfast and included dinner is superb. Onsen in the hotel and free access to outdoor onsen which is 1min walk away.
