Saman and his wife did everything and more to make our stay comfortable. Their food is great, breakfast in the balcony with a beautiful view is the highlight of this homestay. They arranged for a tuktuk to take us around the area and the tuktuk driver was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of places. Don't miss an early morning walk through the tea gardens just above the homestay. Saman also helped us get train tickets to Ella which was a very difficult task considering that all tickets get sold within seconds. It was because of him that we could experience the spectacular train route! They were very warm towards our 6 yr old daughter and overall made us feel very welcome. There is a bit of climbing involved though - very typical of hill stations and nothing that a regular, averagely fit person cannot negotiate.

The location is up the hill, not close to the city centre, but very close to tea plantations and a nice 10 min road to Gregory lake. The owner is very kind and made sure to extend our stay when we requested, as well as arrange tuk-tuks whenever we needed one. Overall one of the best stays in Sri Lanka so far, highly reccommend.

It’s a pity we only stayed one night and it was raining so we could not do the tour !
