Ok, if you are a self-driver and you have to arrive at night at the hotel the road is very, let's say interesting 🤔🙂 But when you get there it is paradise. Best rooms, best food, best breakfast, not only nice and polite employees but as well very professional. We have been in many hotels. This was for sure one of the top 3 in Sri Lanka. Overall I think it was our favourite hotel during all stay off the coast. Thanks for everything.

Pathi and team went out of their way to ensure that my aged father (reduced mobility) was well looked after - even supplying a dining table between our rooms to avoid having to use steps.

The homestay features family rooms. I loved the house, the hospitable host Ananda, and I loved the breakfasts and dinners cooked by Ananda's wife! HHR is located on the hill outside the city, surrounded by luscious green. I slept like a baby and listened to birds' voices. It's a pleasure to take a walk in the area. The Pekoe Trail is near by meandering along the slopes covered with tea plantations. The house and the rooms are meticulously clean and very comfortable. Ananda is eager to help and takes every measure to make your stay enjoyable. He took me around in his car and gave me his sarong to go to the Temple (you need to cover your knees). He is a very warm and supportive person.

The house itself is modern, beautifully renovated, and very comfortable. But what really stood out was the warmth of the couple who own it. From the first moment, they made me feel truly at home — more like a guest in their home than a customer. In the morning they prepared a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast. One of the highlights was the coconut rotti — absolutely incredible — along with fresh fruit and other traditional dishes. You could really taste the care they put into everything. They also went out of their way to help me when the airline delayed my baggage. They followed up and made sure it arrived safely at the house, which I really appreciated. If you’re visiting Kandy and looking for a quiet, authentic place with genuine hospitality, I can’t recommend this stay enough.
