The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. During my recent stay I had the pleasure of interacting with Taranga, the front office in charge. Their warmth and efficiency made check-in a breeze, and throughout my stay, they were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The reception team as a whole was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, creating a comfortable atmosphere from the moment I arrived. Special mention goes to Roshan the restaurant manager, whose friendly demeanor and attentive service added to the overall exceptional experience. I highly recommend the Golden Crown Hotel for its outstanding staff and impeccable service.

The view is an amazing panoramic view across the Kandy valley. The rooms were spacious, clean and well presented. The property is very nice and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was US$5pp and was a generous assortment of fruit, local cuisine, toast and a smoothie. The rooms all have a nice bathroom and proper shower (not a wet room situation like many places in Sri Lanka). We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Green View Holiday Resort has a variety of rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Free WiFi is available in the resort’s common areas. Facilities include an outdoor pool and restaurant. Breakfast was really good, Rooms are clean. Very quite at night, The owner and his son are really friendly and helpful. They help you with anything you need. Hot water, aircondition available all time. The cute dog is a plus!

Located in Kandy, Mountbatten Bungalow- Thema Collection - Kandy welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and a spacious sun terrace. Fabulous little piece of history we stayed in an enormous room Rose. Pristine gardens, infinity pool, that was very cold, but with views to die for... The staff were lovely and very attentive. Breakfast was great we only had dinner once and it was also nice. The bungalows are up in the mountains it's a 20 mins tuk tuk drive down to Kandy. So it's good to plan day trips down and stay the whole day if you don't want to be travelling up and down. Beautiful hotel highly recommended if you don't mind paying a little extra.

The room was spotless, modern, and the bed super comfortable – truly first-class quality. The balcony view over the jungle is just magical: waking up to monkeys and birds is an experience in itself. What made it unforgettable were the hosts – Paty, his wife, and their son Mack – who are true super hosts. They made us feel at home from the first moment, always warm and welcoming. Don’t miss the homemade curry with rice for dinner – absolutely delicious, a 10/10! This place combines comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kandy.

I loved the house, the hospitable host Ananda, and I loved the breakfasts and dinners cooked by Ananda's wife! HHR is located on the hill outside the city, surrounded by luscious green. I slept like a baby and listened to birds' voices. It's a pleasure to take a walk in the area. The Pekoe Trail is near by meandering along the slopes covered with tea plantations. The house and the rooms are meticulously clean and very comfortable. Ananda is eager to help and takes every measure to make your stay enjoyable. He took me around in his car and gave me his sarong to go to the Temple (you need to cover your knees). He is a very warm and supportive person.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Sanatha Suwaya is set in Kandy in the Kandy District Region, 1.6 km from Kandy Royal Botanical Gardens. Ceylon Tea Museum is 2.9 km away. Beautiful and quiet location. Hosts Krishan and Michael were friendly and very helpful with organising my onward travel. I loved the start to each day and appreciated the opportunity to participate in yoga and meditation sessions with Michael.
