I will say this is the best place I have stay in Sri Lanka, if you ever gonna visit Kandy. This place is the best choice for no doubt It’s not in the heart of the town so it’s pretty quiet, you won’t hear any annoying honks from the town The hosts are super friendly, they serve cup of Ceylon tea with cookies on arrival it was soooo nice with the view of the place, and the place is clean, comfortable and the home made Sri Lankan breakfast also really good. I will defo book the same place when I visit Kandy again

The room was spotless, modern, and the bed super comfortable – truly first-class quality. The balcony view over the jungle is just magical: waking up to monkeys and birds is an experience in itself. What made it unforgettable were the hosts – Paty, his wife, and their son Mack – who are true super hosts. They made us feel at home from the first moment, always warm and welcoming. Don’t miss the homemade curry with rice for dinner – absolutely delicious, a 10/10! This place combines comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kandy.

Probably the best budget accommodation we had in Sri Lanka! The room was absolutely amazing, huge with great views all around. And exceptionaly clean. The location is good too, its right at the start of the forest, meaning great sights and sounds, but less than 10 minutes by tuk tuk from Kandy central. And the hosts are so so friendly and helpful. Wholy recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely house in the hills just outside Kandy. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, with stunning views over a forest valley — the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. The house itself is modern, beautifully renovated, and very comfortable. But what really stood out was the warmth of the couple who own it. From the first moment, they made me feel truly at home — more like a guest in their home than a customer. In the morning they prepared a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast. One of the highlights was the coconut rotti — absolutely incredible — along with fresh fruit and other traditional dishes. You could really taste the care they put into everything. They also went out of their way to help me when the airline delayed my baggage. They followed up and made sure it arrived safely at the house, which I really appreciated. If you’re visiting Kandy and looking for a quiet, authentic place with genuine hospitality, I can’t recommend this stay enough.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Sanatha Suwaya is set in Kandy in the Kandy District Region, 1.6 km from Kandy Royal Botanical Gardens. Ceylon Tea Museum is 2.9 km away. Staff and the owner was super friendly and fun and nice, they helped us with anything we needed. They even offered free yoga and meditation programs in the morning, which was amazing.
