The ocean is too rough and not swimmable, but there are several other beaches nearby, including Mirissa beach. My room was very comfortable and the food was pretty good. Also, very friendly and professional staff.

Set in Talalla South, 46 km from Galle, Talalla Bay Beach features a restaurant and free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms have views of the sea or city. Highly recommend Talalla Bay Beach! Thomas and his staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is right on the main road, but the ocean waves drown out the traffic noise. Each room faces the ocean with a balcony to enjoy views. Beach loungers are a perfect place to spend your day. Talalla beach is a special place, not overdeveloped. Great mix of locals and tourists. The far right side of the beach has calm water for swimming. Thomas is not only a welcoming host, he is an excellent cook. Do not miss enjoying his delightful dinners. We only stayed 1 night, and wish we had stayed far longer.

We had a pleasant stay at Thusara, Rohan and his family are so hospitable, nice little house with spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. The guest house is super clean and the family always make sure to help you and provide you with tips, information about transport and more. We highly recommend staying at Thusara. Location is great, a bit away from the beach busy life but so close to everything at the same time. Loads of restaurants, bars and cafe around. Thank you Rohana and Inoka :)

I was grateful that not only the workers but also the owner was very kind. If you need anything, they will kindly take care of it. Mirissa Beach is a 10-minute walk away, and there is a supermarket and pharmacy about a 5-minute walk away. There are also many good restaurants within a 15-minute walk. If I come back to Mirissa, I will come here again.

Offering a spa and wellness centre, Peacock Villa is located just 600 metres from the famous Whale Watching Mirissa. Free WiFi access is available. Loved the ambience and the staff were delightful. We had a ground floor room with patio doors onto our own patio and garden. There was an abundance of wild life. Monkeys, peacocks, bee eaters and chipmunks. The host even gave us a present of packets of tea from his family’s estate. Breakfasts were delicious.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the kind and gracious host, Babi. She went above and beyond to make guests feel at home, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. I was given the option to choose between two rooms, which was a nice touch. The Inn is beautifully designed and very clean, from the stylish entryway to the thoughtfully renovated rooms. My room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a great AC unit, overhead and bedside lighting, a fridge and a balcony overlooking the lush jungle—a peaceful spot to unwind. The property also offers two guest kitchens and plenty of seating and lounge areas, making it easy to relax. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the surf beach, but I rented a bicycle, which made getting around even quicker and more convenient. One of the biggest highlights? The hot water and incredible water pressure—an absolute treat after a long day of surfing! I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. Thanks, Babi, for an unforgettable experience! 🙏🏼🏝️

Located in Mirissa South, Sri Sharavi Beach Villas & Spa - with 43 metre saltwater infinity pool offers an outdoor swimming pool and a spa and wellness centre. It was absolutely fantastic very hard to find a hotel in Mirissa which actually looks like the actual pictures. This was the one to be at.
