Great accomodation with very pleasant atmosphere! The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy terrace overlooking the green rice fields. The host was really nice and friendly, and we had a delicious dinner. The location is perfect, walking distance from the ancient city and the bus stop. I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone!

The guesthouse is located in a really calm area which is surrounded by nature and wildlife. The room was very spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. I was able to eat there in the evening and the meals were varied and excellent! I also enjoyed the breakfast! The host is always here when needed and takes great care of his guests. He offered night walks to see the wild animals in the area. We were also treated to a tour of the rice fields and a tasting of a fresh coconut harvested in front of us! He takes the time to chat with the guests, which is really nice! I learned a lot thanks to him :) I can't recommend staying at Ruins Villa enough!

Situated in the heart of Polonnaruwa and overlooking the panoramic Parakrama Samudraya, The Lake House provides a peaceful getaway featuring elegantly furnished rooms and free internet access. Serene, beautiful, the staff is amazing and the food delicious. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone traveling to Polonnaruwa.

Tishan Holiday Resort is located in Bendiwewa in the region of Polonnaruwa. The archaeological area is 3.5 km away from Tishan Hotel. Hotel features a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. Owner of the place, he helped with a hack with the sockets (little secret), and give honest opinion about safari (that it's not worth it at that time of the year). Pool is unexpectedly good, we were alone on it, but it was clean, lights were romantic, all the place it just perfect. Also the dinner and the breakfast was very tasty. I am rarely this satisfied with place. Keep it up!

Ask the host for the catamaran tour: a tour with a local fisherman to spot birds and eliphants (we saw them swimming). Breakfast and dinner are optional and are prepared by the host.

We booked Livinginn Polonnaruwa online and stayed there with three families. It was a great experience from start to finish. The rooms were spacious enough for our budget, very clean, and well-maintained. They also served us delicious food exactly as we requested, and always on time. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. The garden area was perfect for our kids to play and enjoy safely. The dining area was also very convenient—fully equipped with plates, glasses, spoons, a burner, microwave, fridge, and everything we needed to prepare or enjoy meals comfortably. Another big plus is the location—very close to the main attractions in Polonnaruwa like Gal Viharaya and Rankoth Vehera. Overall, we’re really happy with our stay and can confidently say that Livinginn Polonnaruwa is truly value for money. Highly recommended!
