There's hot water to shower and food is amazing. One night we even had the chance to help and prepare our own meal the traditional way. Pick up and drop off at bus station are free. Very good service. At night you have an option to go for a walk to see some wildlife. Defo would recommend this place! The host speaks very clear english and really cares about his guests.

We loved the charm and character of the place, as well as its fantastic location on the lake. Great at sunrise and sunset. The pool was bracing, but fun with the kids after a morning cycling around temples or an afternoon safari.

Tishan Holiday Resort is located in Bendiwewa in the region of Polonnaruwa. The archaeological area is 3.5 km away from Tishan Hotel. Hotel features a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. The pool is great with a beautiful garden where you can rest, relax, read a book and enjoy it. The property is much better than expected. The big breakfast is AMAZING!!! The owners and staff are so helpful and kind.

We booked Livinginn Polonnaruwa online and stayed there with three families. It was a great experience from start to finish. The rooms were spacious enough for our budget, very clean, and well-maintained. They also served us delicious food exactly as we requested, and always on time. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. The garden area was perfect for our kids to play and enjoy safely. The dining area was also very convenient—fully equipped with plates, glasses, spoons, a burner, microwave, fridge, and everything we needed to prepare or enjoy meals comfortably. Another big plus is the location—very close to the main attractions in Polonnaruwa like Gal Viharaya and Rankoth Vehera. Overall, we’re really happy with our stay and can confidently say that Livinginn Polonnaruwa is truly value for money. Highly recommended!
