Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. STAY HERE. I don’t even know where to begin. Will start with service and staff- amazing. So kind, friendly, helpful. Food - amazing, dinner buffet was great. Rooms were clean comfortable and had everything you need. Pool was clean, large and perfect. Value is AMAZING! We did the safari, 4 hours, by ourselves. I could not believe the price. In fact, the whole two day stay there is what we spend on a meal out at home in Bangkok. Just fantastic. And then we had a change of plans that meant we could not stay the extra night we booked. They were wonderful and didn’t charge us. In December! The busiest time of the year. Again, just stay here!

Staff were fantastic and provided everything we needed (including the safari). The room was bigger and better than the photos. The food was delicious, dinners were a treat. The pool was a nice touch also and we got to see some beautiful fireflies while swimming at night. Highly recommend staying here.

Offering a barbecue and views of the garden, green view safari resort is located 8 km from Udawalawe National Park. Cute little houses in a well kept little resort. The room was simple but spotlessly clean. We immediately felt comfortable. If it’s a snack, tea or a breakfast package to take along on the safari, the hosts do their absolute best. Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch of the house and listen to the evening wildlife. Personally, I think the location is even better than shown on the pictures and an absolute recommendation!

They even took extra care to cater to our kids, making the whole experience family-friendly and stress-free. The resort also helped us book a safari into the national park, which was an absolute highlight. We spotted elephants, buffalo, and numerous bird species—all in their natural habitat. Whether you’re looking to explore wildlife or just relax in a natural, eco-friendly environment, Nature Lovers Family Resort is the perfect choice. This was the most unique stay ever! The treehouse is amazing! Sitting on the balcony watching the birds was so relaxing. The staff are so friendly and helpful, arranging us our safari and onward taxi. The Sri Lankan curry and breakfast were the best we had!

Steps from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta Village offers a peaceful and scenic getaway from the city and night camping. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Rooms, the pool and the area is clean. No problem with that. No rats as it was mentioned in google reviews. Staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. Room is spacious with some flies which didn't bother at all. Big area which is lightened and you can have a romantic walk. You have a very close connection to nature here. You can it on the spot - good restaurant with pretty big menu, tasty food and veeeery reasonable prices! Perfect stay, we'll definitely come back! Greetings from Latvia!

Spread across 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Kalu’s Hideaway Udawalawe is a perfect spot for a relaxed family getaway. Kalu's was such an amazing Hotel to stay at, we did 3 nights to relax and also did an early morning Safari which I highly recommend getting up early for! The hotel organised this for us and the guide was brilliant, had some incredible intimate moments with some young elephants. I can't praise the management and staff enough.. The food was lovely! breakfast, lunch and dinner. As the hotel was quiet for a couple days we even requested a lake fish curry which they happily organised with the chef and got some local freshly made bread to go with it. It was amazing! The owner should be very proud of all his staff but a special mention to Mangala and Sadaruwan! They couldnt do enough for us and giving us great advice with eating the traditional Sri Lankan food how it should be eaten properly. We got 5 star treatment every minute we were there. We will definitely be back when we visit Sri Lanka again in 2026. Thank you for making the end of our holiday so special 😁
