Great location if you are looking for quiet and nature Amazingly friendly and warm family who runs the place Comfortable bed and pillows Good food I booked this place very last minute on my way from Ella towards the beaches in the south. So far it has been my best stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very kind, I got to fish in the lake for a few hours and we ate some of the fish for dinner after. They helped arrange a Safari for me. I only wish I stayed longer but was running short on time to squeeze in a few more towns before I leave Sri Lanka. I forgot a shirt that was gifted to me in the room and the family is sending to me in the next town over, very kind of them as the item hold a lot of sentimental value. Anyone looking for a quiet nature area where you can observe many birds and aquatic wildlife will absolutely love this place!

Really clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel has beautiful garden and fabulous rice fields bordering on hotel garden. Hostess was very helpful, polite and nice. Best recommendations!

The rooms and the pool are beautiful. The host Sujith and all staff are very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast are delicious and there is a large selection. We were able to organize the safari easily and without complications with the host Sujith in the hotel. Our tour guide Maari was incredibly good and we were able to benefit from his years of experience. Thanks to his good ears and eyes we saw two leopards, many elephants, water buffalos, crocodiles and much more. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Right, so, listen up. We were practically spitting distance from Yala, yeah? Place was plonked right by a billabong, or a lake, whatever you wanna call it. Rooms? Sweet as. No worries there at all. Tucker and drinks? Bloody ripper. Couldn't fault 'em. And get this, they sorted out the whole safari for us, no dramas. Staff? Top blokes, every one of 'em.

Only a 5 - minute drive from the famous Yala National Park is Cinnamon Wild Yala. It boasts chalets with private balconies and free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant. We had a great experience staying here and exploring Yala. The hotel arranged two safaris for us, and both were excellent. Our guide Sampath and driver Supoon were very knowledgeable, and thanks to their experience, we were able to see leopards on both trips. They knew how to navigate the crowds and where to go for the best wildlife sightings. The hotel itself was lovely. We enjoyed the view of the beach from our cabin, and listening to the waves from the porch was a highlight of our stay. The property’s access to nature was excellent. The nearby lake was a prime spot for wildlife viewing. We saw crocodiles, wild boars, and elephants there. The staff, especially Gayan and Saman, made an effort to connect with us every day, ask how our day was, and point out wildlife around the property. We would recommend this place for anyone visiting Yala and looking for a peaceful stay close to nature.
