We felt safe in the local area including at night, it is a quiet “ local vibe area” If you want 5 star accommodation this isn’t for you but if you want very good, reasonably priced accommodation, this is perfect, it’s well away from the noisy at night areas, there is a well stocked Mexican supermarket within a 10 minute walk, and this is next to the Collectivo mini bus depot where you can go cheaply to Tulum and places on the way. Taxi to the beach and bus station if you don’t like walking is approximately $150 Mexican pesos (10 USD)
