In the centre of Zuidlaren, Hoeve de Vredenhof offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Laarwoud forest is directly behind the hotel. Groningen is 15 minutes by car. Second time staying here, excellent both times. Recommend taking advantage of in-house breakfast as some of the bakery's/cafe's open late/closed some days. Our room was super cozy, and there was a little lounge area where we could just hang out and read by the fire stove. 100% recommend the option of having dinner prepared by chefs Daphne and Jan Willem. Delicious dishes made with local ingredients, by absolutely lovely people.

Situated at a 5-minute drive from the town Meppel in the natural reserve Het Reestdal, Havixhorst Estate features a Chateauhotel and restaurant. Each suite has an individual style. Everything. This place is simply amazing. We have visited many times and will return many more. The hotel is simply a beautiful piece of history that you can spend a few nights in, while enjoying amazing food and wine in the restaurant for dinner. The breakfast shouldn't be missed either.

Hotel Restaurant Bitter en Zoet can be found in historic Veenhuizen, a particular village in Drenthe. The hotel has charming double rooms. Each room is unique in style and has a private bathroom. Extra large room (apartment) with high ceiling and large windows opening to a lovely woodland view. An excellent breakfast.
