The hotel is placed in a beautiful scenery, near the river. Everything is new and clean. The air is fresh. The town is quiet. There is no cars. I could spend there a month. Located at the opposite of the Lebunius Church and 200 metres from Deventer city centre, Grand Boutique Hotel-Restaurant Huis Vermeer features individually decorated rooms. Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful, who made us feel very welcome. Very nice building in a great location. Our room was large, with a super balcony / roof terrace.

Breakfast room with stained glass, nun’s name on each room, photos from the past presenting nuns at the front of the same entrance door you’re walking through- that’s something to remember. Apart from that - very comfortable room with armchairs, huge bed and enormous bathroom. And WiFi was good. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty

Almost a century ago on exact the same spot where now Hotel Restaurant De Uitkijk is situated was a teahouse. Since then a lot has been changed. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful, felt at home. Very nice bedroom and comfy bed. And super kind staff, they even got us a free ride to the train station. Amazing breakfast included in the rate. Highly recommended!! Wish we had stayed longer
