A mini supermarket is just on the same street as well as a money exchange shop. Opposite is Chhaya Centre where Marcopolo Restaurant serves wonderful Italian cuisine. Pizza is great! Himalaya Java Coffee is in same centre as well. A street away, you will find numerous brands of trekking things such as North Face, Rab, Kaemp 8848, Mountain Hardwear, Black Diamond, Buff, Scarpa, Marmot, Timberland, Blackyak......They are genuine. The room is perfect clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

It’s a traditional family house, so u can experience how local house looks like, the owner has studied in Netherlands before so he is also open minded and kind person, very nice experience

Rooms have a flat-screen TV. Some rooms include a seating area to relax in after a busy day. A terrace or balcony are featured in certain rooms. The rooms have a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find bath robes, slippers and free toiletries. Great location, close to nice restaurants, cafes, shops, inside Thamel. Staff super friendly. This is our 4th stay in this hotel and when we come back to KTM we would like to stay here again, we are very happy with this hotel

Offering a restaurant, Mayur Restaurant that serves Indian and regional cuisines, Peacock Guest House is located 100 metres from the City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in the public areas of the property. It is completely charming and elegant. We felt comfortable and well looked after. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom is quiet. The food was really good. The tours arranged with Bikram Suwal were wonderful - and when he wasn’t free, Raj was also brilliant. We will come back.

One of the best stays we had in Kathmandu! Authentic newari architecture, beautiful surroundings and the kind members of the personnel travel guests in another era.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s. The Tibetan-style house has 64 cosy bedrooms, an in house restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. Wi-Fi is free in its public areas. The garden Rooms are an oasis. Breakfast is great. Staff outstanding and very trustworthy. Allowed generous late check out. Even later for a low fee! Reasonably close to the airline so quick drive. Does mean you can hear the planes. But I’m a light sleeper and they seem to not fly over at night.

Karma Boutique Hotel is set in the Thamel district in Kathmandu, 1 km from Hanuman Dhoka. Guests are offered the on-site restaurant. Karma Boutique Hotel features free WiFi, parking and 24 hour front desk. The staff is very friendly. My friend did not realize that he left his bags in the hotel lobby when we headed to the airport. The hotel staff chased the taxi with his motorcycle to deliver the bags to us. We couldn’t thank him more.. The rooms were clean and nice with proper wet/dry area in the bathroom. You don’t see this that often in this type of boutique hotels in Nepal that often. We stayed in Kathmandu 5 nights and only stayed in this hotel one night. I wish I had stayed there more nights.
