Acacia Lake View Motel is just 300-metres from Taupo Town Centre and a 5 minute Tauhara Golf Course. Taupo Airport is a 10-minute drive away. This was an exceptional stay! Very friendly host and amazing view. The rooms were very modern and well kept. It had that home away from home feel. Very central to town as well. Would stay again!

Lake Taupo and Tokaanu Thermal Pools are within 5 minutes’ drive from Creel Lodge. The Tongariro National Park’s ski fields and walking trails are 40 minutes’ drive away. Good and spacious apartment with veranda located close to the river. We only spent one night, so could not profit from the good location, but laundry facilities were good. Not too far from the few restaurants of the town. Also close by car from the start of Tongariro alpine crossing.

Hosts were lovely and hot pools were amazing (outdoor and in room). Right down the road from the lake where you can see the ducks and relax. 15 min walk to town.

The location between the fields was outstanding and very near to the Hobbiton movie set. The house was extremely comfortable and decorated with exceedingly good taste. And breakfast was delicious! We especially enjoyed Jen and Dowi’s company. Thank you so much for everything!

The property is non-smoking and is located 18 km from Mystery Creek Events Centre. Lovely staff. Really welcoming and helpful.

Lots of flowers around the estate, making the stay pleasant and unique. Breakfast was exceptionally generous with a great variety of bread, beverages, orange juices, jams, cereals, yogurts and fruits!

Pedlars Motel is 20 minutes' drive from Thames and 30 minutes' drive from Waihi Beach. It is a 1-hour drive from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga. Ideally located at the edge of town, a two-minute walk from the bike rental shop and next to the Paeroa start of the Hauraki rail trail. The king-size bed was super-comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped — even with treats like hot chocolate and biscuits, as well as excellent coffee and an array of teas and tisanes. The shower is a 10, such great pressure it was hard to get out. The staff are friendly and helpful. Oh, did I mention, the municipal pool is right next door and open for lane-swimming from 6 am to 9 am. Location, location, location! 10 on 10.

Just 300 metres from the lakefront of Waipahihi Bay, Little Haven offers an outdoor swimming pool and a hot tub. The self-contained apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen and a flat-screen TV. Guests enjoy a children's playground and a games room. The owner was lovely and gave some good recommendations. Shower was amazing and the room had everything we needed for 1 night.

It is a 2-minute walk from the town centre and guests have a 5 minute walk to the Lost Spring geothermal pools. Additionally, the property offers discounts at select local restaurants and activities.
