Desert Wonders Camp is situated on Eastern Sands that stretches from Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. Lit by lanterns, the camp offers Bedouin-style accommodation with tents. The camp is Eco friendly and only uses solar systems. Fantastic stay at Desert Wonders Camp - I would highly recommend to anybody considering to book, look no further! We took a transfer into the desert, which included a sunset tour. Nassar was great, driving around the dunes and telling us all about the desert and how it has changed over the years. We even met his camels, who were very friendly and loved a pet! Sunset was really beautiful, I would recommend taking the tour if you come. The tent we had was great - large and very comfortable. For food - dinner and breakfast were simple but very well cooked, flavourful and plentiful food. Tea, coffee, dates and water are available around the clock. Lastly, all the staff at the camp were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable stay 😊😊🔥🔥

Al Wāşil
Surrounded by the high sand dunes of Oman’s desert, the eco-friendly Retreat Camp in Sharqiya provides authentic, Arabian-style accommodation in tents. It offers camel rides and tours to nearby locations. Authentic nomadic style tents in a secluded area next to a large dune. The location was perfect to watch the sunset and sunrise on the dune but also could you easily drive yourself back to the village near the desert! It was easy to get there as a meeting point at 3pm was arranged and then you could decide if you would like to go by your own car (totally recommend if you have a 4WD) or pay for a pick-up. The owner was super friendly and greeted us with tea/ coffee and snacks and shared some information about Omani traditions. We booked a camel ride for the morning (10 OMR per person) and were picked up (free dune bashing included) to go camel riding at a nearby camp - we loved it, was very much fun! Dinner and breakfast was good as well with many vegetarian options!

Location is beautiful. Camp is great. It was a slow day, so they upgraded our room. We were driving a salon car, so we had the camp's driver pick us up in a 4x4, we also did dune bashing with the driver - he was an awesome guy. Really kind. The dinner was lovely and a lot of options to choose from. The room was very cozy and big. Went to sleep in darkness looking at the stars, woke up to the sight of wild camels just beyond the camp. Great!
Lovely hosts, very responsive and gave us an upgrade. We did dune bashing and sunset tour for 25 OMR, which was a great experience. They gave us tea and donuts whilst watching the sunset. Dinner and breakfast was tasty. We were able to reach the camp with a 4x4 using google maps.
We had an amazing day at the camp. Faiz is a great guy, so funny and available. The owner is also lovely. The food is 10/10 and the overall atmosphere is super relaxed and family-like. Much more secluded and intimate that other big camps, totally worth your money.
Perfect for trips to Wadi Bani Khalid pools, only 45 min drive from the hotel. Liked the deserts sands located literally outside the back of the hotel. We stayed 2 nights and decided to upgrade to the small chalet room for 2ndnight as has it's own pool in the room! Well worth doing as this was amazing and filled with well water from deep in the ground which was warm and felt lovely on the skin!! Bit pricey but awesome!! Also most powerful shower so far in Oman.
Reception was great We really enjoyed our stay for two days Lovely pool for relaxing yourself Courteous staffs Amir and Bibin in the restaurant section are sweet guys and friendly
Got a lovely upgrade to the eco Lodge deluxe on arrival. The lodge was beautiful with lovely details and a feel of nature about it. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend.
If you don’t sleep here it’s almost impossible to see turtles so it’s definitely worthy but just for the turtle watching, especially the one in the morning before sunrise. 2 tours to the beach included in the room rate, one in the evening and one in the early morning. Hotel guests are the first group to be brought to see turtles. Good breakfast and buffet for dinner (excluded from the rate of the room, 10 OMR per person). We booked a standard room but they gave us the luxury tent for the same rate which was definitely an upgrade.
Me and my girlfriend spend a great night at luxury camps, accomodation was superb, also the sunset in the dunes. This is the farmost camp around, so you really feel the connection with the desert, also with a help of friendly and welcoming stuff, such as Muhannad and Omar. They offer plenty of activities, such as camel riding, dune bashing or dinner with the stars. Definitelly recommend, definitelly would stay another time.
