The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows. Everything was just perfect. Nice staff, very cute and clean hotel. Breakfast was great. Highly recommended!

Safari Desert Camp offers accommodation in Al Sharqiyah. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. All accommodations are either chalets or tents. They went the extra mile to make me feel at home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though I was the only guest at the time , and vegetarian, they prepared some excellently meals. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountain, Al Reem Desert Camp is situated in Al Bulaydah. All units feature a seating area. Very friendly staff and general manager giving flexibility as to our booking. The camp is very wel organised and extremely clean.

Desert Wonders Camp is situated on Eastern Sands that stretches from Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. Lit by lanterns, the camp offers Bedouin-style accommodation with tents. We were picked up by the owner and he took us for a ride through the dessert to see a sunset. This was the highlight of the stay, together with meeting hs camels.

Surrounded by the high sand dunes of Oman’s desert, the eco-friendly Retreat Camp in Sharqiya provides authentic, Arabian-style accommodation in tents. I spent two weeks in Oman but definitely this was the highlight of the trip. We were picked up by the owner from Al Wusta (as we didn't have a 4x4) and he drove us to the camp. There was only one group of friends and the rest of the camp was empty, which was nice as we chose this specific camp to relax and disconnect. Nice activities were offered (other guys did the dune bashing). The owner spent a really long time talking to us - he was the nicest person in the already very friendly country. The staff working there was very polite and helpful. Food options (including vegetarian!) were amazing, for the desert I think it was almost luxurious. I will always recommend this camp to everyone, it was really nice and peaceful. This camp is a gem of Wahiba Sands. And the tallest dune is located right next to the camp, which is a must to climb (although exhausting). The sunset was beautiful. The owner really cares about his business and the guest, as well as his staff.

We booked additionally Quad bike rides and sand boarding and the experience was superb. Our guide was very nice.
