The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows. Stuff was super helpful, helped with the late checkout as well, breakfast was great, room was spacious, bed was comfy.highly recommend

Safari Desert Camp offers accommodation in Al Sharqiyah. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. All accommodations are either chalets or tents. We had an absolutely amazing experience at Safari Desert Camp! As a family of four, we were all thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our stay. The huts were clean and exactly as shown in the pictures — no unpleasant surprises, just beautiful simplicity and comfort. The meals were another highlight of our stay — both breakfast and dinner were generous, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. We truly enjoyed every bite. The activities we tried were fantastic and unforgettable. From the adrenaline-filled quad bike ride to the peaceful camel ride and the thrilling dune bashing — everything was well-organized, safe, and full of adventure. A special thank you goes to Omar, our host, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. His hospitality truly made our stay exceptional. If we could, we would give them 11 stars! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience.

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountain, Al Reem Desert Camp is situated in Al Bulaydah. All units feature a seating area. A wonderful place, very welcoming and helpful hosts, good food, cleanliness, fine sand and an ideal place for children

Desert Wonders Camp is situated on Eastern Sands that stretches from Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. Lit by lanterns, the camp offers Bedouin-style accommodation with tents. We chose this accommodation after reading the reviews and did not regret it at all. The host, Naser, was extremely gracious. We went in with our rental 4WD and got a little bit stuck on the way to the campsite but Naser gamely helped us get 'unstuck' and guided us on how to drive through the journey. As we were the only guests, he offered another tent for no extra charge, which we declined as we wanted to spend the night together (family of 5 adults). The tent itself had comfortable beds and a private bathroom which contained the basic utilities, but wow, the experience of showering under the open skies was so unique! We took up the sand dune bashing and ride to see the sunset, which was incredible and highly recommended. Nasr also took us to see his farm animals including his pregnant camel, which delighted my daughter (a vet student). The catered food was amazing! We had a typical Omani dinner of rice, bread, salad and roasted chicken with an amazing sauce, and breakfast of eggs, sausages, fruit etc which were very yummy. Free flow of dates and Omain coffee. After dinner, the 2 staff lit a campfire, where we gathered round and sang campfire songs just for the fun of it. All in all, this was one of the best highlights of our 9 days Oman trip!

The Turtle Beach Resort offers an ultimate relaxation and comfortable rooms built in Traditional Omani Style overlooking the sea. The staff is very polite and friendly. Beautiful swimming pool and private beach with clear water. Everything is clean and the towels and blankets smell amazing nice.

Surrounded by the high sand dunes of Oman’s desert, the eco-friendly Retreat Camp in Sharqiya provides authentic, Arabian-style accommodation in tents. Perfect desert camping with magnificent giant sand dune as back drop, inspiring sunrises and sunsets, star-filled sky, absolute silence, and random camels wandering around. We spent 2 nights here so we could experience the desert through the 24-hour cycle. The sleeps were warm and comfy, the meals tasty, and service impeccable from Assad, Joel and Joce. The owner Hamid, is a hardworking 15-year desert tourism veteran, and had lots of tales. Campfire and meal times make for great conversations with other guests. We paid OMR25 for the 25-min return 4x4 transfer from Bidiyah, and OMR10 per person for camel rides and dune bashing, both loads of fun. This is a licensed camp, which uses largely solar power and pumps up water from a 150-metre well.

We spent 1 night at Desert Nights and it was amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and clean, the food is good/has a lot of variety , and the activities are very fun. We did ATV riding in the desert and had a great time. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Would highly recommend!
