Anjo Azul is a renovated 18th century property, featuring a modern décor and a charming façade covered with Portuguese tiles. Positioned in a very central and convenient location of local, traditional architecture. Area is generally residential and quiet during the day, but very lively at night-time with many bars located there (yet property has quiet immediate surroundings). Several coffee places with local pastries and restaurants in close range. Staff was absolutely excellent, very friendly, helpful and thoughtful, creating a sense of intimacy and making you feel welcome. Room was very clean, with a large bathroom and an interesting view to internal courtyard of local character. Overall, great value for reasonable price.

We visited Lisbon from Sesimbra for a couple of days to see the Christmas Markets, lights and festivities. The location was very convenient and perfect for walking to all of these things and seeing the city. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The (included) breakfast was outstanding! They offered quite a spread of options for food and beverages, and everything was fresh, delicious and frequently replenished. Upon request, they were happy to make eggs to order. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the perverbial "cherry on top" of an amazing experience. They were all super helpful and friendly, and made the effort to find a personal connection with us.

Inspired by the life and work of Fernando Pessoa, Lisboa Pessoa Hotel is located in the centre of Lisbon, 200 metres from Chiado. We felt extremely welcome and taken care of from check in till check out. The room did include everything we needed for our visit and was well appointed. The roof top restaurant/bar has amazing views of the castle and city. The sauna, steamroom and, pool are awesome for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Don't miss out on the tasty breakfast.
