The location is amazing, beautiful, and peaceful. The view is gorgeous and great for sunsets. Not at all walkable to town or other areas, but great driving access to the beautiful mountains. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I don't speak any Portuguese, but they were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food in the dining room was wonderful.

The hotel also has a library available, for guests to take a book and relax in the communal lounge. - best place to have breakfast in Guimarães - in the heart of town - extremely friendly personal - the city is the essence of Portugal in my eyes. If you miss it, you missed a very important part of the country - recommendation to stay over night, to see city late night and early morning :)
