Located within the walls of the Marvão Castle, at the top of the high village of Marvão, Dom Dinis Marvão features a rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi® and panoramic views of the countryside below. Awesome location in fantastic wee walled town perched on top of a rocky hill. We loved that it was an old building but with modern facilities. Clean, tidy, friendly staff, comfy bed, nice shower and bonus of the spa which could be booked for privacy. Great to have breakfast included. We went at a quieter time and I'm pretty sure we got a free upgrade as our room had a balcony and view.

Beautiful home, incredible view and a wonderful hostess. It's a place you can cool offer a hot day in the pool, watch the sunset, cuddle with dogs and cats and have a peaceful night's sleep. Love the breakfast too- and thankful our hostess could move the time a little earlier so we could get to our Rail Hike on time.

Calm, quiet, excellent pool and brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was to die for - Loads of different continental options with regional products. The Quinta is situated close to Castelo de Vide e Marvão which are lovely places to visit, however is in a remote enough location for it to feel like a break from a busy life.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool, Cabecas do Reguengo is located 5 km from Portalegre city. The unit features a wine cellar, vineyards and is sited within lush green surroundings. The perfect “night at the family farm” experience. Warm welcoming staff (also the owners) with fluent English. Amazing views to the winery fields. Huge and modern house looks more like a five-star hotel. Excellent home-style breakfast with yoghurt, eggs, bakery, fruits etc. Everything fresh. Loved that so much ❤️

Helped with negotiating restaurant bookings and locating cafes. Breakfast was generous and included many choices. Will recommend to family & friends.

Set in Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, Quinta das Lavandas enjoys scenic views of the 1,4 acre lavender and lavandin grosso field that blooms during the first 15 days of July. The owners are super kind and they love to help The property is very well decorated with a great taste, super clean and very well conceived. Kept in perfect condition

The idyllic peaceful rural location on a working farm with sheep with bells. Jose was a delightful host and the breakfasts were excellent. Our room was spacious and the traditional stone building was nice and cool and the pool was great for cooling off. The bed was very comfortable. There were some nice restaurants about half an hour's walk away and nearby Marvao is well worth a visit. We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed it very much. It is great if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Located in the heart of São Mamede Natural Park, Quinta da Dourada offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers. How cozy the room was. The beautiful surroundings. The fact I could bring my two dogs, with no extra charge. The owner's dogs are very friendly, especially the bigger one. He went for walks with us in the morning.
