I spent 20 days in the Azores. but the best came at the end. I was allowed to spend 3 nights at Quinta do Espirito Santa with Lucilia and Francisco Maduro slides. I was allowed to spend my stay in a beautiful outbuilding of the Quinta. The house and the rooms in it are lovingly furnished. You are transported to another distant time. But the two hosts are definitely the highlight. I have never experienced such warm hosts. A hearty breakfast with many local specialties was served in the main building. The two gentlemen had a lot to tell and gave me an old insight into life on the Azorn and Terceira. We especially liked the conversations with Francisco. I was able to take away and learn a lot from his knowledge as a history professor. I highly recommend Quinta do Espirito Santo as a place to stay. The hosts receive 1000 points from me. The atmosphere was so relaxed and we very much enjoyed the pool and the garden. The friendly and helpful staff also contributed to our exceptional and positive experience. Maria is really something. She brought me fresh bananas when I got there and the most fantastic dessert when I left. There is a laundromat just down the street and grocery straight across. Mount Brasil is a short walk but you're also very close to the tour booths where they rent bicycles too. Or just walk down Pedro to eat on the west side of the town square.

Incredible location in the very center of Angra, two steps from the beach. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was quiet and comfortable. Excellent value for money. Would definitely come again if given the opportunity.
