It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. It was an authentic quinta experience. The property has nice views of the valley. The dinners and breakfasts were great. Generous food and wine/port, and the family style dinners offered the opportunity to get to know other guests. The weather was poor, so we couldn’t really enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces, but we were compensated with a great fire in the main room before and after dinner.

Solar de Santa Maria offers accommodation in Bragança, in a 17th-century manor building, in the heart of the old town, 75 metres from the Castle's gardens. It has a garden with cloisters and features free WiFi. This was a wonderful place to stay in Bragança, with plenty of traditional atmosphere, and a very convenient location just minutes from the castle and an easy walk to the river and other attractions.The welcome was very warm. We loved our large room and bathroom, and the view we had over the garden.There is parking nearby which we found easy, safe and free to use. We particularly recommend the generous and delicious breakfast spread.
