Sometimes you forget how good and kind people can be — and then someone like Richard (Richard and Isabel are the owners) comes along and reminds you. I arrived early at 08:00, before check-in time, after a long night train. I was tired, confused, and had many concerns about my ski plans (we dont ski in Israel, and it was my first time). Then I met Richard at the reception. He noticed my stress and calmly said, "Why don’t we start with breakfast? Allow me to take care of your belongings untill the room is ready." He truly wrapped me in care and kindness — and it meant the world to me. All my questions were answered by Isabel, who gave me great recommendations and guidance. Richard shared helpful ski tips, and I even received a lovely Easter gift — a small egg filled with chocolates. The place itself is very clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the only downside is the distance to the ski area, which can be a bit challenging. To summarize — I 100% recommend this place. Apartments at Gästhuset i Åre feature a TV, a seating area and cable channels. There is also a microwave. The bathroom has a shower. Free baby cots and chairs are available for guests on request. Wonderful location, big cosy rooms like home-away-from-home. Exceptionally good price/value-rate. Common room in basement is a life saver (because of weather!) while waiting the check-in. We recommend this place esp. for longer stay in Åre.

Relaxation options include a common TV lounge where free hot drinks and cookies are available at all times. Bicycle rental is possible from May until October. Guests enjoy a discounted price at Sport's Gym, within 250 metres of the hotel. Local handicrafts are available for purchase at the hotel. Breakfast was a very nice Swedish-style breakfast with everything you wanted and needed. The waffles with cloudberry jam was a big bonus!

Set in an 1883 theatre building, this hotel is within 200 metres of Östersund’s pedestrian street, Prästgatan, and the bus terminal. The theatre is a lively host for various events and music concerts. The hotel offers modern rooms and a restaurant and bar. Nice staff, great restaurant and amazing breakfast.

Set in Nyland and only 18 km from Åre Train Station, Ristafallets Camping offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. A tour desk can provide information on the area. The location was extraordinarily clean throughout the whole campground. The cabin was cute and served its purpose for my stay. The bathrooms were easy to access and everyone cleaned up after themselves.

Located next to Frösö Park Arena, Hotel Frösö Park is only 3 km from Åre-Östersund Airport. This hotel also features a restaurant with daily lunch specials and an a la carte bistro menu in the evenings. Great, very clean hotel with a fantastic breakfasts with never ending choices. Children liked the games prepared for guests in the lobby. We were happy of the stay and recommend for both short and longer stays.

The property is 900 metres from Mid Sweden University and 600 metres from Jamtli. Absolutely gorgeous apartment! I loved the vintage vibe of the place. The interior is really wonderful.

All rooms at Skoogs Logi - Rum have a TV and seating area, while some include a fridge. Very cozy apartment, quiet and warm room. We really enjoyed relaxing there after long day of skiing. Breakfast was limited but delicious. We especially enjoyed the freshly baked bread!
