We had the big family room, which was very suitable for us. Very nice and beautiful equipped. We could use the dishes and the microwave in the room next by. The breakfast was great escpecially the waffles 😄. We also hab fika and dinner in the vafflehouse which was great aswell. The only sad thing was the closing time of the vafflehouse at 6pm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We are happy that we stayed there.

Dating back to 1881, this family-owned hotel is located in central Västervik, right next to Västervik Train Station. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi access and cable TV. Comfortable, lovely interior design, welcoming garden with white tables and chairs, greenery.

It was very quiet and a great experience in the middle of nature. Lena (the host) was very nice, helpful and she is a very good cook. The cottage had very lovely furniture and decorations.

Situated 20 km from Astrid Lindgren’s World Theme Park, Vimmerby Stugby offers free sauna access and accommodation with fully equipped kitchens. Granssjön Beach is a 5-minute drive away. Charming cabins, super clean and very helpful and nice hosts.

Within 5 minutes’ walk of Växjö Station and the main street, Storgatan, this family-run property offers good-value accommodation and a dining room with microwave and refrigerator. The fact that the hotel had a heated pool and a sauna was the primary reason we chose this hotel. We were extremely happy with the choice, we could even park the 3 motorbikes in the private area and head out for drinks in the evening.

This family-owned hotel is centrally located in the coastal town of Västervik, only 150 metres from the Västervik train station. It offers free Wi-Fi access. I usually don’t write reviews, but I loved this hotel so much I feel they deserve special recognition. Older hotels can often be a little shabby despite renovations, but this place has both cosy, old world charm while achieving standards for cleanliness, upkeep, and comfort equal to the best hotels. Being a short and easy walk to the bus and train station as well as the city center, it was in a perfect location. Staff at the desk were welcoming, helpful, and efficient, and without my asking, helped me carry my luggage up the stairs since there is no elevator. My room was nicely proportioned, quiet, and very cosy. Breakfast was great. There is also a nice little lounge in the reception area with tea and coffee for fika alone or with others. (And for a delicious fika treat, check out Bageri 96° on Stora Torget!) I only wish I could have stayed here more than one night!

Set in natural surroundings overlooking Lake Vättern and Visingsö Island, this hotel is 8 minutes’ drive from Gränna Harbour. I loved the breakfast. I can’t imagine there can be more things to choose from!
