This hotel dates back to the 19th century and enjoys a waterfront location. The Stora Torget square is within 100 metres, while Karlstad Central Station is a 5-minute walk away. I like the restaurant and the roof top. Also, I like the size of the room, which was big enough for 2 people. The breakfast was amazing and the view over the river was really nice. The location was very good.

Home Hotel Bilan is housed in a former county prison, 50 metres from Drottninggatan shopping street in Karlstad. It offers a private prison museum and rooms with free WiFi. The location is very convenient to the station, the room was quiet (those prison walls), and everything was very comfortable. Best of all, the breakfast and dinner provided as half board were totally delicious and substantial and served on a restaurant-style dining room.
