Dating back to 1852, this elegant hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Gothenburg Central Station. It offers a peaceful inner courtyard, free WiFi and free coffee/tea and homemade cakes each afternoon. The hotel receptionist told us that it was going to rain soon and that if we needed an umbrella, we could use the hotel's umbrellas. This is a hotel that I love, with a lot of attention to detail.

I enjoyed the privacy of the cottage situated within natural vegetation in an agricultural area. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the environs in the evening such as bird watching. The cottage was cheerfully decorated and the beds were comfortable. I liked being able to open all the windows at night.

Set on Marstrandsön island, this bed and breakfast offers guest rooms on site the historic Carlstens Fortress. There is free WiFi access in all public areas. Superior unique location, you get the keys to the keep meaning you can wait for all the day-visitors to leave and then wander around the place discovering all locations without the crowd. The roof offers a great view over the island and an amazing sunset picture (the top tower has no accessible roof) The room has just the right modern touches while all details are classic.

At a scenic seaside location, Everts Sjöbods Bed & Breakfast features a terrace and free WiFi access. Vitlycke Museum is 11.2 km away. Most guest rooms feature sea views. This is a charming place right on the water. Beautiful views over the harbor to different rocky outcroppings. The breakfast was very good, available in a nice eating area with fresh bread and many other items. The bedroom was small but very comfortable and the shared kitchen was quite functional. The host staff was really pleasant and helpful, good interactions. We enjoyed walks along the seashore and in the area. We would return and would recommend Everts to others.

Built in 2013, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant, free Wi-Fi and naturally furnished rooms with a tiled bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Läckö castle is 300 metres away. Beautiful location. Wonderful dinner and breakfast.

This central Grebbestad B&B is just 200 metres from a waterfront promenade along the Skagerrak Strait. It offers free WiFi and a daily breakfast buffet. Great location, not in the loud center, but in a quiet area that is still very close to the city centre. The host is very friendly. Beds are comfortable :)

This modern and exclusive boutique hotel, 6 minutes’ walk from Gothenburg Central Station, is just 200 metres from Kungsportsplatsen Tram Stop. Everything! The breakfast was superb.
